Never say never: patchwork pants

Let me preface this by saying that I can't quite put my finger on the reasons for my distaste for patchwork pants. I guess they strike me as unpolished and seem to suggest an imminent hoedown. (Fun fact: I just had to look up the spelling of 'hoedown.' Can you believe it is one word? I am reeling.) Also, I don't think that the best way to flatter a woman's hips and derriere is to slap an array of multi-colored squares on it. Despite my misgivings, though, I would wear this:

I would not don a pair of such pants unless I was completely assured of the fact that my blouse would extend to my hipbone or lower. I would also girl them up considerably with a sheer, feminine blouse and pumps.

What really makes the outfit for me, though, is this spunky little ring, available for a mere $62 at A+R Store:

...or, if you prefer, the less luxe and more mouthwatering version:

You really could match these babies with anything.

Ring pop is an awesome accessory! I love the twisted flavor ones, blue and orange!

And then when you got tired, you could lie down and curl up under said pants.
I'm being facetious.
My niece owns the house by verbal contract....it's binding.
